People often ask if I not= iced that I spelled counsellor with two l’s (o= r if I know how to use spell check!) It is quite on purpose. This is an old-fashioned spelling of the word, and it is meant to focus on the importa= nce of counselling in estate planning instead of on documents. In our practice, <= span class=3DGramE>its not about the documents, its about producing the r= esults you expect.
In The History of Abraham= Lincoln published in 1866, the author notes that Mr. Lincoln was “admitted in 1837, as an attorney-and-counsellor at law, by = the Surpeme Court of Illinois.”
